PFW 2013: Nina Garcia for JAG Origins

What I wore: maxi dress with blue belt Forever 21 • wedges Sorridere  •  bag bought in Bangkok • watch Gucci
This is yet another backlog since I'm busy catching up with life and books. Last May, I am thankful to have another chance to attend Philippine Fashion Week and see Nina Garcia Live with my friends, Abi, Danna and Justin. It was a dream come true and a surreal experience to actually see and hear the renown fashion editor and Project Runway judge in person. Another opportunity I'll check off my bucket list.
But before anything else, here's what I wore during the event. My friends Abi, Danna and I talked about what we should wear that day. We decided to wear maxi dresses or skirts for fun and dubbed ourselves, "maxi girls." Haha.

This is the detail that I loved so much about the dress and at the same time cause me a slight dilemma since I'm not really sure if wearing a bandeau is fine since I'm not really gutsy enough to have a bare back plus the front part is sheer so ahhhh I was confused on what to do for a while there. I hoped it worked.

The dress includes a blue belt so I decided to stick with blue accents for my look. Finally, I was able to wear the necklace and earrings set I won from Vjuliet's giveaway. I don't know, there is something about the lime and blue combination that I'm starting to like and get attracted to nowadays.
The whole event started with a fashion show hosted by Sarah Meier. It showcased collections by three designers namely Norman Noriega, Jeffrey Rogador and Jerome Salaya Ang. Some of the pieces were worn by the BB. Pilipinas winners together with Miss Universe 1st Runner Up, Ms. Janine Tugonon. My favorite part was the Boy Abunda's fun and insightful live interview with Nina Garcia. She looks and sounds so genuinely nice, and of course, smart and fashionably chic as always. I wish I had a photo with her but security was tight (forgive me for fangirling). My friend, Abi took some from afar though.

Some photos during and after the event:
I will just keep this post short. Anyway, have a great day!
