Collarful Sequence

What I'm wearing: earrings thrifted •  puff sleeve sequins flounced short-sleeved dress c/o AhaIShopping
Sunday is the day when we can take a rest from all the stress and responsibilities and look back on the things we did and achieved the past week. As a realization came upon me, we make history every single day. It passed by like a bullet and we are already done with the first month of the year. Aside from that, it is also the day when we should give thanks and praise to the Lord for our life and for all the blessing we have been getting at the start of the year. And this was what I wore one Sunday last January. We actually missed a few Sundays already because our Church transferred to another place we have no idea where. But finally, I told them about this Church where some of my friends go to. As we went to the place and the see the crowd attending the service, we were highly overwhelmed. The Church we attended for the past few years can fill a whole floor but this new one filled two or even more. I was in awe seeing a lot of people praising Him.

clip bought in Japan

(L-R) white ribbon strap & ring borrowed from my sister • watch Gucci
vintage bag bought in Japan  • flats Solemate (located at Parisian section of SM Department Store)
On this outfit, the dress has a gold and sequined embellished Peter Pan collar that stands out on its own and deemed to be eye-catching. So I used accessories that have the same attributes as the collar such as the gold and white combination. If you have noticed, I've been using minimal accessories for some weird reason because my friends hail me as the one who can wear an arm party up to my elbow (which is an exaggeration) even before this blog started. Maybe in a few months, arm party will be back. Just maybe.
I am always fascinated by how others always wear dresses to Church and I have always wanted to be that kind of girl despite the tomboyish outfits I outgrew e.g. pants, shirt and sneakers combo. But I remember when I was still young, maybe around three or four years old, my mom would always let me and my older sister wear dresses with matching headbands or clips. Surprisingly, I was able to channel those old looks in this outfit. I think I would invest on Sunday dresses to be able to wear dresses all year round since it is also the proper clothing for attending mass.
Have a great day!
