Top Ten Websites I Visit Everyday

Sunday, May 13, 2012

We live in the modern world or others called the technology era. Everything is made easy for us since the invention of the internet or the world wide web. Information can be easily accessed, shared and stored—from music, to news and entertainment, books, documents, etc.

Enough of the serious talk.

We, young ones, are the most avid visitors of the web. From personal accounts, to social networking, to reading blogs, etc. My professor for GLOBDEV before asked us to share the top ten websites we visit everyday just to prove the point for our class. Now, I decided to make a new list of the ones I visit nowadays.

1. Yahoomail/Gmail
I check my mail daily for emails and important updates. That is a must for a blogger like me. Plus if I don't, important emails might be drowned by the junk mails I am receiving everyday. So cleaning it is a must.

2. Twitter
This is my personal space and where I share what's on my mind. Every single cloud of thought of mine is here. That's why I always say, “What happens in Twitter, stays in Twitter.”

3. Shelfari
The ultimate website for bookworms like me. This is where I keep track on the books I've read, the books I made reviews for, rated, etc. I also learn the new books released this year from just browsing the site. This is where a reader can also edit the books so that other readers will learn more about it. I have tried Goodreads and Anobii but those two bore me. I just hope that Shelfari will eventually have a mobile application soon.

4. Tumblr
Everyone's addiction. I believe that this is where the youth have their little world of their own. I get to be more inspired when I see photos, read quotes and other stories. That is also the reason why I also post some sneak peeks of my blog posts because it is easier to share your thoughts and you know that people will read them.

5. Blogger
Of course, this is my outlet of everything, from books to fashion, to music and movies, to my dreams and goals, you name it. This is my photo diary slash ranting space slash everyday journey.

6. Fashion Blogs via Bloglovin'
I love the daily dose of fashion and style from renown bloggers all over the world. I do sometimes get my outfit inspiration from them. It makes me happy whenever I see stylish clothes and fabulous shoes. Weird, but yeah, girls swoon over those things. Anyway, a few of my favorites, of whom I faithfully visit everyday, are under the What I Love list on the sidebar.

7. Multiply Marketplace/Facebook Online Shops/Other Online Shops
This is where I check out affordable deals when it comes to fashion, cosmetics and gadgets. Oh before I forgot, books as well. I love browsing and seeing things that I want.

8. Chictopia/Lookbook
Same reason on paragraph no. 6. But I also keep up to date, as much as possible, my outfits through these websites. Through these, I am able to share my style and take on fashion throughout the world.

9. Get Glue
A site where I check in, usually, when I am watching television shows, movies and music. Through this I am able to acquire stickers and points every check in. This is also a way to share some reviews I made for some movies and books as well.

10. Facebook
As you can see, this is the last website I browse. Usually I just check my account for new notifications and leave it be afterwards just in case people will message me. I don`t really give much time to this site as compare to the others because for some reason it bores me and it is somewhat getting overrated as the times goes by.

Well, these are my guilty pleasures. I'm sure you do visit some of the sites I listed, too.

These are my top ten, what's yours?
