Katniss Everdeen

What wore: faux leather jacket, white shirt & beads from Bangkok • sneakers Chuck Taylor (Central World - Bangkok) • salmon shorts Aeropostale • bag Nine West |
Three weeks before the film's premiere, I was already searching for an outfit inspiration to honor The Hunger Games. It is predictable but yes, I chose Katniss Everdeen. There was actually a lot of choices for this peg but I chose the ragged Katniss, the one who hunts, the one who is hungry for game.

I chose to wear shorts instead of pants or tights and my trusty chucks instead of boots because the heat was unbearable that morning. The weather was so unpredictable that it actually rain that afternoon. I wished I pushed through with the tights and boots ensemble. Oh well.

Anyhow, I am happy with the result. It was sporty which reminds me of my style before. Forgive the photos. I was having a hard time taking them because it was raining outside and it was too dark. I had to use my phone because our camera's battery wasn't charged. But I won't let the bad vibes take over me.

mockingjay necklace Personalized Accessories |
And my most prized possession that night, my mockingjay necklace. I was too giddy and excited weeks before that I also looked for a mockingjay pin. I know where I can get the shirts but for sure a lot will be buying theirs so I want to be different. Unfortunately, the seller of the pins were unreachable so I had to find something else and then I saw this necklace. I knew I had to order ASAP.

By the way, I wore this outfit yesterday when I watched the film with Abi, Joan, Marion and other new found friends! The film was great! I know that I will be watching it again soon! I will post more about this soon!
Happy Hunger Games!
