Bookgasm: Melanie

Recently, I reviewed Atom & Eve by Jeff Yager and despite my indifference to the book, I wouldn't pass up the chance to share an outfit post inspired by one of the minor characters, Melanie. If I remember it correctly, Ricky met her in an elevator and this was what she was wearing. Like Ricky, I also couldn't ignore it.
Oh Melanie! by arraabella featuring chunky-heel sandals

(1) dress with bright reds, greens, & yellows in the shape of flowers, under a customized jean jacket; (2) red-framed heart shaped sunglasses.

I visualized Melanie as a very lovely girl-next-door type. I've always been a fan of a dress and denim jacket combination so it made me happy to create this set though I would've preferred to match this with a denim vest. It was so difficult to find the described dress even if I can imagine it. I knew I had to improvised so I chose a dress with a similar print or the one closest to the description. I am a sucker for red so I added these pair of heels. I planned to add some red lippies but I don't want to shock people with too much of that hue because there are already a lot going on the dress. A simple pendant necklace and a ribbon bracelet added a sweet touch. And to complete the school girl look, who can't say no to a simple, brown satchel bag? :)

Now, do you like Melanie?

Have a great day!
