What I wore: dress Soiree (SM Girls' Teens Wear; Department Store)

Beauty Mark: Majolica Majorca Lash and Brow Colorist • Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless Concealer • MAC powder • MAC Viva La Glam Nicki Minaj
Emerald green is the pantone of 2013 so I thought starting the year with that color will be perfect and may symbolize luck. I do not really believe in superstitions as some does but you will not lose anything for trying and clinging to a few beliefs. Sometimes it may serve as a motivation that can actually bring you great abundance in life. Of course, you should not rely from luck. Most of the time, perseverance and your will to strive hard will lead you to achieve your goals and dreams in life. So I made a vow to myself that I will be more productive this year, whether it may be a small or big matter.

Gold Snake Bangle c/o Lockie & Lulu • watch Swatch

How timely that my Lockie & Lulu bangle arrived on time because 2013 will be the year of the Water Snake. So incorporating both the emerald hue and this snake bangle in my New Year's Eve outfit is highly appropriate.

This dress is actually a gift from my parents and I did reserve it for my birthday. Due to reasons aforementioned above, I opted to wear it earlier this year. Since the dress had a mixture of purple hue, I incorporated accessories with the same color or something that will compliment the combination, hence the shoes, bowler hat, and bow tie.

The length of this dress will actually make you look taller so I advice those petite girls out there to get one. You may think it is too short but that will not be a problem since you can wear shorts underneath. Plus, the length will elongate your legs. The style created an illusion of a longer lower torso.

emerald flats SM Parisian
I am not superwoman and I know that there will be a lot of jump shots later that night so I changed from my sky-high heels to my emerald flats. I remember grabbing these since it was the last pair for my size. The tassels added a hint of retro style to a very modernized flats. Aside from the fact that emerald is the color of the year, it just attracts me a lot nowadays. There is something so regal and elegant about the color that I cannot pinpoint. Moreover, darker shades brightens your feet that's why I tend to stare at mine whenever I'm walking in these. I don't know but it was something that my sisters and I noticed ever since when we were young so we love those tones for our feet.

Hope you like the outfit! How did you start your 2013?

We had pizza which was not shown in the photos, yakiniku, kimchi, lettuce, wine and Purple Oven's chocolate cake. I love how we sort of ate the Yakiniku ala Korean style since we put it inside the lettuce with the rice and kimchi.
Our baby brother is growing up so fast! Look at this photo! My ate and I look like her girlfriends here! LOL!
Even Ysabelle is a big girl now!
I love this photo! We look so candid. Haha.
The fireworks display all over our village. It was spectacular!
