Vintage Tuesday

Beauty Mark: Majolica Majorca Lash and Brow Colorist • MAC Viva La Glam (Nicki Minaj) Lipstick • c/o Two Crafty Unicorns vanilla tint lip balm
So this is not exactly my version of the outfit photo shown above. I cannot find the exact dress and I cannot bear the heat that day to wear tights. Since the title was vintage Tuesday, I have to make it work. So this is a vintage outfit with a modern twist.

I chose to wear this dress because of its style which is somehow retro and polka-dots was a BIG thing before. I was actually aiming for the very serious-looking student, the classy, prim and proper lady aiming to get to an Ivy League school ala Spencer Hastings. But somehow it looks very edgy. It might still pass for that but you, my dear readers, will be the judge. I used my favorite vintage bag to bring a little bit of color but still in a very tame way. My sister got it for one hundred yen in Japan which is around PHP 50.00 here! That is a bargain, right?

As you can see, I stick with black and white accessories as much as possible. I love breaking the rules so to contradict the title, I still put on the current trends through a chain and crystal studded bracelets.

To not look over-the-top, I used this cute, studded earrings to balance it with the very eye-catching hair band.

I wish I could've find a more appropriate pair of shoes for the theme but I am still happy with my beloved booties. Oh, can I just say that I adore these socks so much. It is see-through which makes it really unique plus it compliments my dress.

This is the other version where I wore my Chucks instead. Would it have been the better choice?
