Torrid Summer EscapesThursday, March 22, 2012
Harperteen tweeted this question last year:
"If you could have a torrid #summerescapes affair with one literary character who would it be?"
I wasn't able to answer this last year but now that it is summer, I will give this a go!
I am still pondering who should I have a "torrid summer escape" with because I have a lot of fictional crushes and boyfriends. Haha. You would understand if you are a bookworm like me.
I had to choose one because I don't want to be a literary slut if you know what I mean.
So here it goes. . .
Obviously, I chose Jace Wayland of The Mortal Instruments. If you have read the series, you know how exciting his character can be. But for those who haven't yet, I will state a little description about him.
Jace is a tall, blonde and a very hot guy. He sort of gives off an arrogant vibe when he talks and smiles mischievously but he is actually sweet and caring. He just doesn't know how to express his feelings.
I actually love his strong facade and also being a softy when it comes to the people he loves. You will definitely fall in love with his character. Believe me. I did.
So I chose him because despite the toughness, I know that I will have a great time because of his sense of humor and sarcastic wit. I also know that he will take good care of me because he is a great fighter and he will do anything to save me, like what he did to Clary.
His physical looks and of course, the lovely kisses will just be bonuses of the summer escape. It'll be torrid if we will have the Clary-Jace moment in the Faeries' kingdom. Hahaha.
I imagined the setting will be in a beach and we will just walk barefoot on the sand 'til the sun sets. Hand in hand. My head on his shoulder.
I will leave the moment as it is and I will let you imagine what will happen next because I will savor my own day-dream.
All I know is that Jace will be worth it.
Who would you choose?
PS. I pictured out Alex Pettyfer as Jace Wayland because of how he was described in the book. I think, Alex is perfect if he will be portraying Jace in the movie version of the series. But unfortunately, he declined the offer because of another movie series. Sadly, I am not satisfied with Jamie Campbell Bower because he was chosen to play the character. I just hope he'll give justice to the character when the movie comes out. Plus, Cassandra Clare already approved so I will cross my fingers for this.
