HELLO 2012!

(January 01, 2012)

Yet another late post due to my busy schedule. LOL. No, but really, I am really busy because of work, lots of gatherings, etc. I only read and rest in my free time these past few days. At least, I still have time for that habit of mine though I tend to be a slowpoke reader nowadays.

Enough blabbing!!

First, I want to greet all of you a happy, happy new year!! I hope this year will be blessed and fruitful for everyone.

Off to the outfit then!
What I wore: Papaya black chiffon top SM Surplus  orange skirt Forever 21 • heels Rajo x Parisian • leopard ring Forever 21 • purple watch Swatch New Gent Edition
Filipinos have this tradition of wearing clothes with polka dots or round patterns for luck. That is my inspiration today.

I wore this black chiffon with dots--which I bought for a very affordable price--and paired it with my orange skirt. You got to have some bright colors to celebrate this annual occasion. I also wore red which is also considered as a lucky color.
My aunt and my cousins celebrated the new year with us so it made dressing up really worth it. We took lots of photos especially the jump shots because that is another tradition we, Filipinos, believed in. We should jump when the clock strikes twelve in order to grow taller in the following year. Though we know that has no scientific basis, we still do it for fun.

I did not have a graceful jump shot to share so to spare me the agony, I will not share it here. Hahaha. But the next photo will do. ;)
The food was also awesome. That us why I have a lot of fats to burn this year. LOL. Another is that, I taught the kids a new game which was incredibly fun and I knew they enjoyed. The kid in me couldn't contain the urge of playing the childhood games I knew by heart.

Anyhow, how did you celebrate the new year?
